I have a question to all the artists in my flist: I heard that OpenCanvas is good for drawing linearts, but does it have a Pen Tool that operates the same way as the one in Adobe Photoshop? Like, with the curve lines and all? I don't have a tablet, you see, so that's why I do things manually. ^^;; I'd really appreciate your help! *blushes*

HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEST RL FRIEND, HAZEL ANN LOMBOY!! I just finished this thing right now (as I promised I would), so I really hope you'd see this before you leave!

I may not say it to you in all those times we're together, but...thank you. So, so much. You're the first friend I've met here in America, and I had so much fun being with you! I used to feel so out of place in Stagg, but thankfully, you changed everything. You're, like, my missing half or something. With you, I can talk about almost anything - anime, manga, games, (mystery) books, etc.!

Anyway, here's my small gift (even though you didn't give me anything on my birthday! XD). You're the one who got me really into Kingdom Hearts, so I drew this. XD;; I think I owe that game for getting us closer, haha. You complained about the lack of Kairi in my Christmas gift, so there. XD Sorry if they're kids, though - you know I fail at drawing them as teens. XD;;

It looked rush, I know, and there's a lot of mistakes as always, but I still hope you'll like it. ^^;; It would be really different without seeing you at school. I really hope that we'd still get in touch even after you moved out (sa Bay area, right?). I'll miss you.

Sorry guys for the lack of post (again). Been busy playing lots of games lately since the last day of school. I just need to post this thing right now before she leaves. (Hopefully, I could post the promised stuffs some time. >_<;;)

FINALLY, STAR TESTING IS OVER!!

Err. *clears throat* Sorry for the sudden outburst. ^^;; I'm just so happy because STAR lasted for a whole month, and it's the one that keeps me from updating in my LJ. Aurgh. Not that the tests were hard - since this is my first time taking them, I want to be prepared so I studied real hard. ^^;;

Did I mention that I don't like Block schedule that much? Staying two hours in my 2, 4, and 6 class is pretty fun to say the least, but I don't like my 1, 3, and 5 class that much. Especially Period 3. American Government is an okay subject for me - it's the teacher that I can't stand. I'm...scared of her. ^_^;; I usually find myself stammering when she talks to me, and that's just plain weird. Never mind the fact that she makes fun of the way most Asians dress, or the way Filipinos talk, but...yeah.

So, yeah, I'm very thankful that everything is over. At least for now. I have a three days weekend because of Memorial Day, so I can finally concentrate on my LJ, my WIP fanfic-based Riku/Sora doujinshi, and my finals. Must not forget about the finals. I have to make a full-process essay for Mark Antony from Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Julius Caesar (Haha, my first Shakespeare XD *been so used to Rizal's works in the Philippines*) and Civil Rights Movement essay in two of my English classes, a portfolio (which is different from the way we do it in Phil.) about Native Americans in AmeGov, animation project using PowerPoint in Webpage Design, and a long test in US History. I have to say, out of all the things I've said there, I especially enjoy working on the animation project even though it's difficult to work on it in PPT when we could just use Flash. XD I wish I could show mine to you guys, because it's full of crack. XD We're required to do comedy, that's why. XD;;

As for life: Well, after ten months, I finally got used to how American schools work - yes, I had my ups and downs, and I want to thank albel and Ate bathala for comforting me when I was so down about what happened to school lately. I'm still having a hard time to accept the truth, but with the help of my US History teacher and you guys, I think it's only right to move on with a smile. I really shouldn't let that one problem ruin me, and I'm sure that this happened for a reason. shirina_chan, you have no idea how much you makes me happy. Thanks for sticking with me all the time! *superglomps*

So how are you guys? I'm sorry for neglecting my LJ again and again, and I feel bad for not commenting on your LJs, especially to my new LJ friends. *is already leaving a bad impression on them*

Uhm, I know it's already too late for me to say Happy New Year, more so Merry Christmas, but I want to say it anyway. And to astizya-neesan: A very, very belated Happy Birthday to you! I know I said I'd make a giftart but I decided to redraw everything in the end. I apologize for that. >_<;; I was supposed to post this yesterday if it isn't for the fact that a.) I only have a few hours to do/say what I really want, b.) I totally forgot how to use LJ again, and c.) I have no idea where to start. Aurgh. And just when I owe you guys a lot of explanation... *sighs* Thanks to shirina_chan for comforting me the last time I came here. ^^;;

I'm really sorry for not being around these past few months. My dad has a new plant manager and, unlike the previous one, that person knows how to manage time well at work. Unfortunately, this means that he gets to go home with me after school instead of...well, dropping me off at home and let me have my much deserved alone time. *moans* Times like this I wish I have my own room, but alas, life is unfair. -_-;; At least he's nice enough to let me play PS2 instead of cutting me off to everything I want. >_>

...And the way he insists me to take Driver's lesson/Driver's test isn't helping to improve my thoughts about him, either. I mean, come on! School makes me worn out already, and I have to prepare for CAHSEE/CST - I don't need another problem to deal with. >_<;; Besides, I'm terrible at directions - I might end up being lost. XD;;

Oh, well. Enough about me. I decided to give giftarts for those people I talk to most of the time in LJ. ^^;; They're, uhm, birthday gifts, and I'm sure some of them are very late now, but I still want to try since this might be the last time I might make one. ^^;; I'll try to post them anytime I finished any of them since I redrew everything - it's been a long time since I drew anything. ^^;; To my huswife, destinydivine: Do you still need a layout? If so, that's what I'm going to give you as a birthday gift. ^^;;

Sorry if I disappeared again - what happened last time really affected me and I spent the days brooding about it. Haha, I'm weak. I just returned because I feel better now, and noticed once more that I'm behind in my flist again. -_-;; natsuhiiko, soulsister16, and strawberrykaoru, thanks for the support! Even though I didn't reply, your kinds words were all deeply appreciated. =)

Anyways, to compensate for my...err, absence, I made another art dump because it's easier than putting these two pictures in a separate post and spam your poor flist. ^^;; I finally figured out how to use the Pen tool in PS 6.0 so I tried to apply it here for good use. =3 Honestly, using it is really time-consuming, but hell, the lineart looks better with it! The lines look uniformed, and you can edit the thickness of the lines, etc. Very useful, indeed. *grins*

That said, this dump is also dedicated to the August celebrants out there! I hope you guys have fun in your special day. <33
