FINALLY, STAR TESTING IS OVER!!

Err. *clears throat* Sorry for the sudden outburst. ^^;; I'm just so happy because STAR lasted for a whole month, and it's the one that keeps me from updating in my LJ. Aurgh. Not that the tests were hard - since this is my first time taking them, I want to be prepared so I studied real hard. ^^;;

Did I mention that I don't like Block schedule that much? Staying two hours in my 2, 4, and 6 class is pretty fun to say the least, but I don't like my 1, 3, and 5 class that much. Especially Period 3. American Government is an okay subject for me - it's the teacher that I can't stand. I'm...scared of her. ^_^;; I usually find myself stammering when she talks to me, and that's just plain weird. Never mind the fact that she makes fun of the way most Asians dress, or the way Filipinos talk, but...yeah.

So, yeah, I'm very thankful that everything is over. At least for now. I have a three days weekend because of Memorial Day, so I can finally concentrate on my LJ, my WIP fanfic-based Riku/Sora doujinshi, and my finals. Must not forget about the finals. I have to make a full-process essay for Mark Antony from Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Julius Caesar (Haha, my first Shakespeare XD *been so used to Rizal's works in the Philippines*) and Civil Rights Movement essay in two of my English classes, a portfolio (which is different from the way we do it in Phil.) about Native Americans in AmeGov, animation project using PowerPoint in Webpage Design, and a long test in US History. I have to say, out of all the things I've said there, I especially enjoy working on the animation project even though it's difficult to work on it in PPT when we could just use Flash. XD I wish I could show mine to you guys, because it's full of crack. XD We're required to do comedy, that's why. XD;;

As for life: Well, after ten months, I finally got used to how American schools work - yes, I had my ups and downs, and I want to thank [info]albel and Ate [info]bathala for comforting me when I was so down about what happened to school lately. I'm still having a hard time to accept the truth, but with the help of my US History teacher and you guys, I think it's only right to move on with a smile. I really shouldn't let that one problem ruin me, and I'm sure that this happened for a reason. [info]shirina_chan, you have no idea how much you makes me happy. Thanks for sticking with me all the time! *superglomps*

So how are you guys? I'm sorry for neglecting my LJ again and again, and I feel bad for not commenting on your LJs, especially to my new LJ friends. *is already leaving a bad impression on them*

I promised myself not to point out any of the mistakes I see there. *trying to build up her self-esteem*

As corny as it may sound, I did this as a sort of thank you gift to the Ouran anime for cheering me up in the past few days. With all the bad things that happened to school lately, I was surprised that the anime got me LOL-ing so hard with all its crack and jokes.

I honestly believe this is one of the best anime I've seen/watched, so that's why I was so sad when I finished the series. ;_; Why didn't I watch this series when it first came out?! *hates self*

But anyways, I love most of the pairings in Ouran, and I really don't mind who ends up with who (although I'm kinda leaning to Tamaki/Haruhi more) in the end. My most favorite pairing in Ouran, however, is Mori/Hunny. I mean, I just love their relationship/interaction, and I salute the anime for making their relationship...BL-ish. XD;; You won't believe how much I squee-d at Episode 12, just for that "most important person" line. XD Too bad this pairing is not as popular as the other pairings. *wants to see more stuff for her Ouran OTP*

Love so Sweet by Arashi. I totally blame this Mori/Hunny music video because the timing is great and the music that person used got stuck on my head for weeks. 0_0 I can't help it - I just love the tune (especially in the beginning and the near end of the song), and, well. Mori/Hani? XD;;

Awit Para sa Kanya by True Faith. True Faith is definitely one of my favorite bands in the world, just 'cause I love most of their songs. I really like this song, and whenever I listen to it, I get inspired because I just love listening to it. I just wished I could get a better quality of this song, but sadly, this is all I have. =( Actually, True Faith's songs remind me a lot of NatsuRuka, but that's a different story. XD;;

I'll have the next batch of Sketch series uploaded tomorrow. Hopefully. =3

That is one lovely piece of Ouran artwork!!!

The same as you, I don't really mind who ends up with whom. Although I've been reading (and actually wrote one) Kyouya/Haruhi fics these days. ANd you're right, Ouran is one of the best animes i've ever watched. Because at the start, you see them as stereotypes but there's a hint of depth in their character and by the end you really see how much each of them have grown. I also love that the women in ouran have strong characters (there's a lovely fic somewhere in the Ouran comms by sciathan that captures the essence of the women in Ouran).

I'm glad to hear that you're getting used to your new life. *huggles*

Yay for someone who shares the same opinion as I! Although to be honest, I'm actually leaning a bit more on Tamaki/Haruhi in the het side lately, and I'm...pretty bias when it comes to Mori/anyone but Hunny. XD;; *is being a paradox* I still read Hikaru/Haruhi, Kaoru/Haruhi, Kyouya/Haruhi, and some yaoi pairings, though. XD;;

But, yeah, you're right: Ouran is one of those anime that you underestimate (I mean, that show is too "flowery" XD;;) unless you watch it yourself. I love how the characters have depths behind their cracky characteristics, and I think that the anime did a good job on portraying each of those. =) I especially like what the anime did with the ending, and that's awesome because most anime fail at drawing conlusions. Or something. XD;;

I agree with you about the women in Ouran. I mean, before I saw the series, I thought Haruhi is one of those "trying to act tough, but will end up being the damsel-of-distress" type of person, and I was so glad I was wrong. In the end, Haruhi became my most favorite female lead character of all time. She's really different from other characters I've seen. XD;; Ran Kotobuki used to have that spot, haha. XD;;

Yeah. Somehow. It's still a bit tough, though, what's with my awkward accent and various things that happened to school lately. Nung patapos na ng 3rd quarter namin dito, mayroon akong worksheet na pinasa ko in my US History class, pero di raw natanggap nung teacher ko. Hindi ko na-find out kung sino yung culprit. Buti na lang mabait yung teacher ko at naniwala siya sa sinabi ko, kaya binigyan niya na lang ako ng another worksheet to make up for it. After a week, though, mayroon akong anonymous note na nakuha sa desk ko, and it says na siya raw yung gumawa nun. And s/he hates me. Natakot ako ng konti kaya hindi ko na pinapasa yung work ko ahead of time. (Aurgh, it doesn't make sense, does it?)

I always thought that you'd only see those stuffs in the movie - I never thought it'd happen in RL. ^^;;

That's...one of my problems at school. And then some, which I'm too tired to retype in here. ^^;; *is trying to get over that emo-phase*

Haha, same here. XD;; We don't have that kind of test in the Philippines, although I find the tests here a lot easier. I mean, you just have to bubble in the answers and stuffs. XD;; And yes, it does make sense. XD;;

I think we're going to start ours in June, but we're going to have some preparations to do for the finals this week. XD;; Mine doesn't require any studying, except for US History. Most of them are presentations, so I'll have to practice my speaking skills and learn to talk clearer. XD;;

Err, sorry about that. ^^;; I was supposed to make a post about that after I finish catching up a few weeks ago, but when I commented on [info]albel's and [info]bathala's LJs, I don't know. I just started crying. Literally. Yeah, it's corny, but their words really helped me to feel better, so I never bothered posting about it in here anymore. ^^;;
I'll just cut everything I said in Tabe's LJ. Just highlight it because...yeah. ^^;;
#1: I don't think it's easy to accept the fact that I was moved back to 10th grade just because I don't have enough credits (apparently, we don't have middle school in the Philippines ^^;) when I'm, like, near to my graduation. I was - no, am - so disappointed. And mad. I don't want to go to Adult Ed because HS Graduation/getting the HS diploma is my dream, but...two more years in HS (and then four years in uni)? I feel like I just took Law or something. I felt bad because all my friends/classmates in the Philippines already graduated last April, and me... *sighs* /stops rambling

#2: ...what really hurts was that my counselor had to break that news to me right after the Spring Break. I mean, they could have told me right after school, but no, they just have to call me in my FIRST period. @_@ My day was just spoiled, and...well, I couldn't help but cry. In the bathroom. Some students actually thought I was, uhm, a nutcase/raped or something, and I wanted to laugh at them, but...no. -_-;; Seriously, why now? If they meant to put me in 10th grade in the first place, they could have done so earlier - I could have accepted it more, y'know..., easily? *bitter*

#3: My counselor made it clear to me that this has nothing to do with my grades/performance/whatsoever. My grades in my previous and current school are good, it's just that we don't have middle school in the Philippines. They put my grades in 10th and 11th grade for my MS instead (if that even makes sense), so now I have to make up for everything. Damn.

Since I have Senior/Junior classes right now, I'd get sophomore (and God forbid, freshmen) classes next year. O_O That's really weird.

I've missed you Huswife! And, uhh...hope you don't mind, but I was also wondering about your school problems that made you sad, so I just highlighted the comment you left above ^__^;; I figured I'd save you the trouble of copy-pasting again. And my response to it all is thus:

It sounds rather bogus and maybe a little confusing, but I'll admit that our gorgeous American school system is nowhere near perfect. I'm sure New York is different than most states Damn slave drivers striving for perfection, OMFG PERFECTION!, but not that different.

So...it sounds like they pushed you back grade-wise? Which, when you came over to the American school-system, they should have done that to begin with - put you in grade where you could make up the credits. They didn't do that - because, if I'm assuming correctly - they probably had you take some intelligence test-thingy to see where you stand and then put you in the appropriate grade that way. Which....seems to stupid. Unless of course I've assumed wrong, and then you can just, umm, try and explain it to me? *feels sheepish BAAH!*

Yeah. See, I was supposed to be a senior in HS this year, and the school actually put me in that grade when I enrolled here. It was only a LITTLE later when they called me in in the main office to say that "nope, you're not graduating this year; you don't have enough credits, and did we tell you that we're pushing you back to sophomore?"

Those words made me so angry. And devasted. And annoyed. AURGH. Thinking about it just make me so mad I want to cry all over again. I mean, I'm expecting to finally get into uni (and damn right, I'm so sure I will!), but they just have to ruin everything for me.

I wish they made me take those intelligence tests, but sadly, they didn't. Their only reason for putting me back to sophomore is because they found out RECENTLY that I don't have credits for MS, so they had to push my current credits down and make me make up for HS credits ALL OVER AGAIN.

;_; We didn't have Middle School in the Philippines - we jump right ahead to High School after Elementary - and our system isn't credit-based: all students get the same subjects according to their year level, and if they fail a certain subject, either they make it up in summer or return in the same year level as they are now. Or something like that. *fails at explaining* But, yeah, we also do those intelligence tests thingy for transferees.

It made me so sad because when I went to take a vacation in the Philippines this Spring Break, I attended my friends' graduation. Their graduation. Damn it. I'd so give anything to wind back the time and return to my old school. I mean, I like my current school, but...nothing is more fun than to celebrate my last year in HS with my best friends, whom I've had since I was in kindergarten. ;_; Sorry if this sounds too emo. I didn't mean to.

Sorry if I didn't make any sense there. I really do fail at explaining things. *shame* I just kept on rambling and rambling. ^^;;

Art is all about expressiveness, isn't it? And your Mori/Hunny makes me feel so snuggly and safe--which, for me, is the heart of their relationship. So I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE your fan art!!

You know, in the episode when Hunny gets swept away by the water and they all go looking for him? (I forget which one. 3? 4? Anyway....) When Mori and Hunny are reunited, Hunny asks Mori if he got too lonely.

And I thought: AHA!!! They have a 2-way relationship!! And maybe Mori is the one who's more dependent on Hunny, 'cause he gets lonely easily!?! WOW!! That's so cool! And that's when I fell in love with the series.

And I'm sorry to hear you're having a yucky time at school. And I wanted to give you something to make you smile, so here's a link to the Ouran character songs. If I remember correctly, that's episode 7. =D That episode is one of my favorites just because that's where I started to like this pairing (their tradition kind of reminds me of Suoh/Nokoru, which is my OTP in another fandom XD). I find it cute of Mori to avert his eyes when Hani asked him if he's lonely~ Priceless! XD;;

I must say, though, that episode 12 is the one that got me really into this pairing more than anything else. Sure, the anime made this BL-ish more so than the manga, but...I don't know. I have this weakness for scenes that does not need any spoken words, as I'm a firm believer of "action speaks louder than words" when it comes to animanga. XD;; So, yeah, I was completely sold when Mori started to act funny after Hani told him he hated him, the overdramatic 'hugging' scene, and of course, "the most important person" line that Mori's admirer uttered. X3 I can't believe one episode could have me go 'Awww'-ing for the entire 30 minutes of my life. XD;; /corny

Do you remember that episode when Kasanoda first appeared? And that scene when Tamaki said that Hani is Mori's 'lovely item'? Me and my best friend were laughing our arse off partly because Mori is acting funny again but mostly about how the two act like they're having some lovers' quarrel or something. XD;;

Randomly, I love the fact that Takashi is wearing an armband. And his clothes in general. It almost looks like period clothing (which I kind of.... love). ^^
